Rebecca Setlow is an experienced and successful business attorney, having spent over twenty-five years representing well-known local and national clients in high-stakes litigation. In 1995, Rebecca joined the prestigious law firm of Brown & Bain, first as an associate, and, six years later as a partner, where she worked on complex litigation involving contract disputes, government and internal investigations, accountant and legal liability, shareholder disputes, officer and director liability, fraud, trade secrets, securities litigation, and privacy. In 2004, she became an equity partner at the international law firm of Perkins Coie LLP when it merged with Brown & Bain. There, she continued to work with high-profile clients on multi-million dollar litigation and other business matters and has been recognized by her peers in Best Lawyers in America. Rebecca has served as lead counsel in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions around the country, including jury and non-jury trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations. She also has advised clients on how to identify and mitigate risk, protect business interests and relationships, and has developed a special expertise in selecting and working with expert witnesses in a variety of fields to support damages claims and business valuations. In addition, Rebecca has devoted a significant amount of time to pro bono matters for indigent clients and in matters of public policy. In 2021, Rebecca founded Setlow Law where she continues to provide the same strategic, aggressive and focused legal representation to her clients and provides co-counsel services to law firms around the country.
Rebecca knew at an early age that she wanted to follow in her father and great-grandfather's footsteps to become a lawyer, and her passion for her profession has never waned. After obtaining a degree in Political Science with honors, she attended Arizona State University law school on scholarship and graduated first in her class. While in law school, she received recognition for her academic achievements in multiple areas of law, served as an associate editor of the Law Review, represented her school as part of the national negotiations team, and delivered her graduating class's commencement speech. Prior to joining Brown & Bain in 1995, she clerked for the Honorable Frederick J. Martone at the Arizona Supreme Court.
